Lindholm and his co-driver Reeta Hämäläinen failed to score any points in the WRC2 class in Sardinia.

Lindholm had to retire on Saturday but managed to finish the rally on Sunday. However, he only placed 24th in the WRC2 class.

Lindholm was, of course, disappointed with the result but managed to find some positives in the competition.

“It was quite a struggle, and it was the same for my teammate Teemu (Suninen),” Lindholm admitted.

“But on the other hand, at least I got to experience all the stages for the first time. In that sense, we got the maximum benefit for the coming years,” Lindholm continued.

This was Lindholm’s first time driving a Hyundai in such a tough gravel rally, and he felt that it was beneficial even though the results weren’t there.

Next, the WRC will move on to a series of fast gravel rallies. Poland, Latvia, and Finland will offer very speedy stages.

“The familiar Poland is coming up. We’ll see if we’ll be there, but we will definitely continue at least from Latvia. It’s a good place to prepare for Jyväskylä,” Lindholm outlined.

The entry list for the Rally Poland, which will take place at the end of June, was published last week. Lindholm will not compete in Poland, so his next competition will be the Rally Latvia.

The Rally Latvia will take place in mid-July, followed by the legendary Rally Finland in early August.
