Korhola’s team, Pacco Motorsport, announced last week that it is beginning a collaboration with the Italian outfit G.B. Motors. The aim of the teams is to showcase Korhola’s talent beyond Finland and take a significant step forward in the 21-year-old driver’s career.

Pacco Motorsport and G.B. Motors will compete together in Italy’s two main rally championships. The plan is to participate in the Italian Rally Championship as well as the country’s gravel series, the Italian Gravel Rally Championship.

“It feels absolutely fantastic to be able to compete in my first full international championship, and on two different surfaces. There’s a lot to learn once again, and I expect this year to be more about developing my driving on various types of roads as well as improving my performance on asphalt,” Korhola said.

“It’s difficult to set precise result-based targets, as the main goal is to improve progressively throughout the season. A massive thank you to all the supporters who are making this possible.”

Thanks to the collaboration between the teams, they will be running two cars, which will help manage the tight schedule and reduce the need for constant setup changes. Korhola will continue driving the familiar Hyundai i20N Rally2 Step2, with experienced co-driver Kristian Temonen reading the pace notes alongside him.

The project is also strongly supported by the Italian team GASS Racing. Based in Treviso and founded in 2000, the team is led by former co-driver and gentleman driver Albino Gabriel. GASS Racing is particularly known for supporting young talents, and Korhola is now part of this ambitious programme.

“There’s a lot of new but extremely important learning ahead, keeping the future in mind. It’s a pleasure and an honour to start working with people who share the same values and passion for the sport. After this season, we will be much better prepared to face future challenges. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the year brings,” said Pacco Motorsport team manager Kimmo Koivunen.

The 2025 season will be a crucial stage for Korhola to gain experience and develop his career towards professionalism. There are also plans to add a few WRC events to the calendar, but Pacco Motorsport will announce more details about these later.
