Kalle Rovanperä drove to victory in the overall classification, significantly improving his chances of securing a third world title.

His teammate Elfyn Evans, who has now reclaimed the lead in the drivers’ championship, ensured a one-two finish for the team with his second place.

Hyundai’s Ott Tänak, who finished third, was the only driver to break up Toyota’s dominance. However, the points accumulated by Toyota were already enough for the team to once again secure the manufacturers’ world championship.

“A big thank you to everyone. They have all made this possible, and I’m truly happy for all of us,” said Toyota boss Kaj Lindström.

The battle for the drivers’ world championship, on the other hand, is anything but settled.

Evans now leads the standings with 247 points, but Kalle Rovanperä and Sébastien Ogier are immediately behind in joint second place, both on 234 points. Therefore, it’s easy to conclude that the World Rally Championship will see an absolutely thrilling finale, with only two rallies remaining.

“It looks like they’ve made it even tighter,” Lindström smiled.

“Elfyn’s lead is only a few points, and Kalle and Seb are tied for second. This will be a really tough,” Lindström predicted.
