The WRC Promoter has yet to confirm next year’s calendar, but the rallies for the 2025 season are practically decided. On Friday, it was confirmed that there will be no WRC rally in Croatia in 2025.

The organisers of the Croatia Rally announced that they did not receive the necessary guarantees from local institutions in time. The promoter had offered Croatia a contract extension for 2025-27, but the event will not be on next year’s calendar.

The local rally organisation hopes to secure a place in the European Rally Championship for next season and return to the WRC for 2026 and 2027.

Croatia joined the WRC in 2021, with rallies held around Zagreb for four consecutive seasons.

With Croatia out of the picture, next season’s calendar is almost finalised. The last spot was contested between Croatia and the Central European Rally, which debuted last year. It now appears that the event held in Germany, Czech Republic, and Austria will continue in 2025.

Next year, new additions to the WRC will include Paraguay, the Canary Islands, and Saudi Arabia, with Estonia returning to the calendar in place of Latvia.

Other events where points will be contested include Monte Carlo, Sweden, Kenya, Portugal, Sardinia, Greece, Finland, Chile, and Japan.

From this season’s events, Poland will also be dropped from the calendar, alongside Croatia and Latvia.
