Stroll, 26, who made his Formula 1 debut in 2017, tested a Citroen C3 Rally2 car with the Sports & You team in Portugal. The Canadian got behind the wheel on the legendary Fafe stage, one of the most iconic locations in the entire WRC calendar, known especially for its famous jump.
It remains unclear whether Stroll plans a bigger foray into rallying. One thing is certain – it won’t be about money, as his father, Lawrence Stroll, has amassed a billion-dollar fortune in the fashion industry.
Reportedly, this was Stroll’s first-ever experience driving a rally car. His co-driver for the test was Portuguese Nuno Pinto, who has also coached Stroll on the circuit racing side.
