The FIA, which now acts as the promoter of both the World Rallycross Championship (World RX) and the European Rallycross Championship, has confirmed that every round of both series will be streamed live and free on YouTube.
All broadcasts will be available on the official World RX YouTube channel and can also be accessed via the relaunched championship website.
The FIA’s aim is to make rallycross as accessible as possible to a global audience. That’s why YouTube – the world’s largest streaming platform – has been chosen as a key distribution channel.
“Rallycross is one of the most action-packed forms of motor sport, but that only matters when people can watch it,” said FIA road sport director Emilia Abel.
“We’re at the start of a new journey to grow this category, and I’m very happy that we will be streaming all of our races live and for free – we feel it is essential for the long-term success of the championship.”
The World RX season kicks off this weekend at the legendary Circuito Automóvel de Lousada in Portugal. Qualifying heats will be run on Saturday and Sunday, with the finals scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
Every round of the FIA World Rallycross and European Rallycross Championships will be free to watch throughout the season on YouTube. All live broadcasts will be available on the official World RX channel.
