This year, Sesks showcased his skills driving M-Sport Ford’s Rally1 car in three events. The Latvian driver impressed particularly in the fast gravel rallies of Poland and Latvia with his sensational performances.

Sesks has been considered a strong candidate for a seat at M-Sport for the 2025 season. Last weekend, he was unexpectedly spotted in the service park of the Central European Rally, where he was seen holding discussions with M-Sport’s management.

“He’s come here purely to see us and ask what the situation is, which is the same that everyone’s been looking for,” M-Sport team principal Richard Millener told DirtFish.

Sesks received support for his WRC outings this year from the WRC Promoter and his own sponsors. M-Sport would certainly be open to offering him a seat next season if Sesks can bring funding to the team.

Millener had a direct response to Sesks’s inquiries.

“You know what M-Sport is like, you know M-Sport needs some budget to make things happen. Have a think about if you can find anything, if you can do anything.”

“Of course you’re on the shortlist of people we would love to speak to and work with in the future, regardless of who’s in the team,” Millener reiterated.

This season, Frenchman Adrien Fourmaux and Luxembourg’s Gregoire Munster have been M-Sport Ford’s regular drivers. Rumours suggest that Fourmaux might move to Hyundai as their third driver next season, but no official confirmation regarding the Frenchman’s next contract has been received yet.

It is likely that M-Sport Ford’s final driver line-up will only be confirmed after the 2024 season-ending Rally Japan. Toyota is expected to announce their drivers for next year after the Japanese round, and around the same time, Hyundai is also expected to confirm who will drive their third car.
