Solberg tested on Tuesday at Toyota’s test base near Mikkeli. The conditions were, to say the least, wintry, as the temperature dropped to around 15 degrees below zero and colder.
The 24-year-old Solberg impressed at the Rally Monte Carlo by driving to victory. At the same time, he became the youngest-ever winner of the Monte. Solberg has now competed in two rallies in Toyota’s Rally1 car and has won on both occasions. He claimed his first victory in Estonia last summer.
Solberg is well known for always thriving on snow, so he heads into his home rally as one of the favourites for victory. Last year, Solberg won in Sweden in the WRC2 category and finished ninth overall. He was also the winner in his class in 2023–24, when he was driving for Škoda.

Sami Pajari has also already had the chance to test at Toyota’s test area ahead of the Rally Sweden.
Rally Sweden is scheduled to take place on 12–15 February.
