Last year, Solberg clinched the WRC2 title in the World Rally Championship at the wheel of Toyota’s Rally2 car. The third-generation rally prospect impressed enough to earn a full-season WRC deal with Toyota for this year.
As he steps up to the top class of the World Rally Championship, Solberg is also refreshing his look. His helmet has received a brand-new livery.
The change was revealed last week when Solberg tested the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 car in preparation for Rally Monte Carlo.
“This was supposed to be a secret, but now it’s out today,” Solberg said to Toyota’s WRC team videographer during the test.
So yes, it is now officially public. You can check out the striking new helmet design in the photos below.

Solberg will get his season properly under way next week when Rally Monte Carlo kicks off on 22 January. In the event, Solberg will score manufacturers’ championship points for Toyota alongside his team-mates Sébastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans.
