Enok began his year at the legendary Arctic Lapland Rally in Rovaniemi and achieved a strong result. The 19-year-old talent won the SM2 class in Rovaniemi.
Next, Enok headed south to the Savonlinna Rally in March. Once again, he delivered a strong performance, finishing sixth overall and securing another class win in SM2.
Enok’s competition calendar is busy this year. He is taking part in several different series, collecting valuable kilometres in the World Rally Championship, the European Rally Championship, and the Finnish Rally Championship. The Finnish series has made a big impression on Enok.
“Originally, the plan was only to take part in the Arctic Rally,” Enok told Estonia’s Delfi Sport.
“Because everything went well there, we decided to go to Savonlinna too. After that, we concluded that it made the most sense to contest the entire Finnish Championship,” Enok continued.
The Finnish Rally Championship is a highly regarded national series even internationally, known for its tough competition. Enok has been impressed by the quality of rallying in Finland.
He has a solid basis for comparison, having previously competed in Latvia and his native Estonia. This season, the young rally prospect’s calendar is even fuller, but he feels that Finland offers the best learning environment.
“The European Championship certainly has some tough drivers, but when it comes to the Nordic and Baltic regions, the competition is definitely the fiercest in Finland,” Enok praised.
