Last season, Jürgenson was crowned JWRC champion, earning a prize of four fully funded WRC2 rounds in a Ford Fiesta Rally2 for the 2025 season.

On Thursday, it was revealed that the 25-year-old Estonian will also compete in the British Rally Championship (BRC) as an M-Sport driver. This will allow him to gain even more seat time in a Rally2 car.

In the BRC, Jürgenson will have British driver Garry Pearson as his teammate.

If things go well, Jürgenson could even fight for the championship, but for now, that isn’t the main priority.

“It’s a really good chance for me to spend some more time in the car and gain experience in the British Rally Championship alongside WRC2 with M-Sport,” Jürgenson said.

“The BRC has a mixed surface calendar as well, which will be perfect for me to develop as an all-around driver. I want to thank Malcolm (Wilson) and Rich (Millener) for this opportunity.”

The British Rally Championship kicks off with the East Riding Stages Rally on 23 February.

Before that, Jürgenson will compete in Rally Sweden next week, making his WRC2 debut in Ford’s Rally2 car.

Last weekend, Jürgenson took part in Finland’s Arctic Lapland Rally in a Ford Rally3 car, but he was forced to retire due to a technical issue.
