Pajari’s problems began as early as Thursday, when he damaged his car almost immediately and was forced to retire.
After that, Pajari spent a long time merely circulating and was regularly outpaced even by Rally2 drivers.
Ultimately, however, Pajari’s Rally Monte Carlo was ruined for good on Saturday, on the rally’s 12th special stage.
Pajari made a driving error and went off the road. The Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 hit a tree, bringing Pajari’s run in Monte Carlo to an end for the second time.
Pajari was naturally deeply disappointed by the situation, especially as results should gradually start coming on a more regular basis.
“It feels like I’m gathering all the difficulties and challenges into this weekend. Miss Fortuna, where are you?” Pajari wrote on social media.
“We are out. The crew is OK,” he continued.
Last season, Pajari claimed his first-ever WRC podium at the Rally Japan and finished fourth at the Saudi Arabian WRC round, which was run in extremely demanding conditions. However, a lack of consistency continues to trouble the Finn.
