Sebastien Ogier was once again fastest, but only by 0.2 seconds over rally leader Kalle Rovanperä. Hyundai’s Ott Tänak was just 0.3 seconds behind the fastest time, while Toyota’s Elfyn Evans trailed by 1.2 seconds, despite the incredibly thick fog on the BioBio stage.

Rovanperä remains in the lead with a 20.3-second advantage over Evans.

“Always feels better in the fog, you don’t know how fast you go in the fog, for sure I tried to commit. Still leading, in these conditions it is always risky. But I can be quite happy with that,” Rovanperä summarised.

“I think you can see what it was like! It’s obviously tricky, we do what we can. It’s frustrating when driving in those conditions,” Evans added.

Tänak now trails the leader by 40.1 seconds, while Evans is 19.8 seconds ahead of the Estonian, making it difficult to close the gap by driving alone.

“I don’t know if this is about performance or survival. In such heavy fog, you just have to get through it,” Tänak remarked.

Championship leader Thierry Neuville remains in fourth place, aiming to secure solid points without taking unnecessary risks.

“You can see the fog moving, different conditions for everybody, we know that with a little bit of luck it will work, so we will keep trying,” Neuville explained.

Adrien Fourmaux holds fifth place for M-Sport Ford, ahead of Toyota’s Sami Pajari. Ford’s Gregoire Munster is only 2.3 seconds behind Pajari.

Sebastien Ogier continues to lead Super Sunday with a 5.8-second advantage over Rovanperä. Evans is third, followed by Tänak, Esapekka Lappi, and Neuville.

“It’s not so fun, that’s the way it is. It was yesterday for them looking really bad, but even now there is some sections where you see barely anything. As many points as we can for the team, we will try,” Ogier said.

Two more stages remain at Rally Chile on Sunday.
