It has been just over a week since last season concluded, but there has been no rest at Hyundai’s WRC team. Adrien Fourmaux completed a test in France a week ago and even contested a two-day test rally over the weekend.

This week, Neuville returned “to the office” as he jumped behind the wheel of the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 in France.

Neuville enjoyed dry conditions and sunshine as he worked on the car’s set-up ahead of the season-opening Rally Monte Carlo.

Hyundai has reportedly made small updates to the car. Neuville was able to get a first feel for those changes in good testing conditions.

New Zealander Hayden Paddon will drive Hyundai’s third Rally1 car at Rally Monte Carlo. It is not yet known whether Paddon will also get a test before the end of the year or if he must wait for his Rally1 debut until 2026. Paddon last competed in the top class of the WRC in 2018.

Hyundai is also planning to run tests next week at its private testing area in Central Finland. However, the mild early winter has placed the test in doubt.
