The fourth round of the season will take place in just a couple of weeks on the island of Gran Canaria. For logistical reasons, Toyota’s WRC team carried out its testing on the Spanish mainland.

Japan’s Takamoto Katsuta completed his test day in dry conditions on asphalt roads – just like his teammates Kalle Rovanperä and Sébastien Ogier earlier in the week.

However, the situation was different for Sami Pajari. The Finnish driver had to contend with rain during his test runs. While the weather briefly cleared at times, heavier showers soon returned.

As a result, Pajari had to stay fully focused while driving on rain-soaked tarmac.

It remains to be seen whether Pajari will gain any benefit from his wet-weather testing. Rain showers are a possibility during the Rally Islas Canarias.

The Canary Islands rally, being held as a round of the World Rally Championship for the first time, will take place from 24–27 April.
