In recent years, Toyota has relied on a predominantly black colour scheme. However, during last season’s hottest rallies, the team switched to a silver livery.
This year, the appearance of the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 changes dramatically. While black remains part of the design, the dominant colour at the front of the car is now a striking red.
Sami Pajari’s car, competing in Toyota’s so-called second team, will also feature the same livery. Last season, the base colour of Pajari’s car was white.

The change is clear when the new design is compared with Toyota’s black car from last season.

Toyota was almost unstoppable in the World Rally Championship last year, winning 12 of the season’s 14 rounds. The team secured the manufacturers’ title in dominant fashion and, led by champion Sebastien Ogier, claimed all three top positions in the drivers’ championship.
The 2026 WRC season will begin in two weeks’ time with the Monte Carlo round. Toyota began its test programme in France on Tuesday in preparation for the classic event.
