Adrien Fourmaux has been one of the biggest sensations of the season. Promoted back into M-Sport Ford’s top team this year, the Frenchman has shown he is worthy of the trust placed in him.
In the nine WRC events held so far this year, Fourmaux has climbed onto the podium in third place no fewer than four times. He currently sits in an impressive fifth place in the championship standings and still has every chance to fight for a place in the overall standings.

This weekend, Fourmaux will be aiming for a top result in Greece.
“Adrien is having a great season, his consistency is testament to his growth as a driver and this has seen him rewarded with four podium finishes already this year. There’s no reason he can’t do this again if he stays out of trouble in Greece,” predicts M-Sport Ford’s team principal Richard Millener.
At the Acropolis Rally in Greece, patience is often rewarded. If a driver can avoid unnecessary problems, such as punctures, the result is usually good.
Fourmaux is still seeking his first career victory in the World Rally Championship. The Acropolis Rally is the kind of event where, if everything goes right, Fourmaux could even compete for a win in this challenging gravel rally over the weekend. A victory for the Ford driver is not impossible, but it would certainly be a significant surprise.
However, Fourmaux himself isn’t talking openly about winning ahead of the event.
“We know that Greece is a rough and tough event; it’s always really hot with an abrasive surface. Greece is quite slow compared to the rallies we’ve just done in Finland and Latvia, but we’ve had a good day’s testing, and now we want to deliver the best result possible,” Fourmaux says.
“We know the car has been competitive here previously, and we just need to score some good points to remain contenders in the championship.”
The Acropolis Rally in Greece will officially start on Friday, with the shakedown stage already taking place on Thursday.
