Dani Sordo is among the most experienced drivers in the World Rally Championship (WRC). His first victory came in 2013 on the asphalt of Germany.

Sordo began his motorsport career in motocross at the age of 12 but switched to rallying at 16. He won the Junior World Championship in 2005, which marked the start of his career in the WRC.

In the 2019 season, Sordo achieved his second career victory, nearly six years after his first win. He clinched victory at Rally Sardinia after Ott Tänak encountered technical difficulties on the final special stage.

In recent years, the Spanish veteran has competed on a partial rally schedule. In 2020, Sordo shared Hyundai’s third WRC car with Sebastien Loeb. The year 2020 Sordo compete three WRC events. In Mexico, his rally ended due to an overheated engine. In Sardinia, Sordo won for the second consecutive time. At the season-ending Monza, the Spaniard finished third.

During the 2021 season, Sordo participated in seven WRC rallies. He reached the podium in Portugal, finishing second, and in Catalonia, where his home rally earned him third place.

In the 2022 season, Sordo secured three podium finishes out of five WRC rallies.

In the 2023 season, Sordo competed in seven WRC rallies and achieved podium finishes twice.
