These were among the questions put to WRC drivers in the latest episode of WRC Unlocked, now available on YouTube.
Hyundai’s Adrien Fourmaux, Ford’s Gregoire Munster, Toyota’s Elfyn Evans and Oliver Solberg also revealed how they unwind after rallies. Munster’s answer came as quite a surprise.
“I would say sauna. Like when we are in Sweden, i’m always doing sauna’s,” Munster revealed.
On a cheat day, Munster goes for pizza. Other drivers named favourites such as French fries and a good steak.
Oliver Solberg, who competes in WRC2 with Toyota, revealed that he plays ice hockey in his spare time. Munster mentioned that he plays padel, while Evans is a fan of cycling.
The video also revealed that the drivers have a shared WhatsApp group. However, there seem to be differing opinions on what it contains.
“A lot of jokes,” Adrien Fourmaux said.
But Oliver Solberg had a completely different take on the group’s content.
“It’s boring. I don’t even look at it!” Solberg laughed.
But putting WhatsApp aside – do the drivers talk to each other during rallies?
“I talk a lot, but they don’t wanna talk to me,” Solberg chuckled.
Fourmaux, on the other hand, has a rather mischievous approach whenever he opens his mouth.
“Not much except if i want to play a games with their mind,” Fourmaux said with a laugh.
