So far, M-Sport’s season has been predictably difficult. Grégoire Munster and the inexperienced Josh McErlean have mostly just been present in the championship, but now team boss Millener wants to see more pace from his drivers.
The team had a disastrous outing at Rally Estonia. Martins Sesks was the fastest Ford driver, but even his performance wasn’t much to shout about.
Now, the team needs to turn things around in Finland and finally show some signs of progress.
“Rally Finland is a legendary event, and while it’s always a huge challenge, it’s also an incredible opportunity for our young line-up to shine,” Millener previewed.
“Grégoire, Josh, and Mārtiņš have all been consistently learning throughout the season, and Finland will test every aspect of their driving. We’re looking forward to seeing how they adapt and push forward,” Millener demanded.
M-Sport’s lineup in Finland will once again include Romet Jürgenson, just like in Estonia, with the Estonian driver piloting the team’s Rally2 car.
“Romet continues to impress us in the Rally2 category and has the right approach to excel here,” Millener asserted.
Although the season has been very difficult for M-Sport so far, Millener still believes that Finland could bring a breakthrough.
“The stages are fast, the competition is fierce, but we’re confident we can see some positive results in Finland.”
