The M-Sport team allowed camera crews to follow its operations throughout the entire season, resulting in a stunning documentary series titled More than Machine.
The multi-part documentary was released in full on YouTube and proved to be a hit with both viewers and critics alike.
Now, the documentary series has received its fourth nomination among the year’s most successful documentaries – this time at the prestigious Broadcast Sport Awards 2025 gala.
The series is nominated in the Sports Documentary of the Year category, competing alongside productions such as Sprint(Netflix), Formula E: Driver (Prime Video), and Four Kings (Prime Video). More than Machine, produced by Superlative Films, has become one of the most significant motorsport documentaries of the year.
This latest nomination marks the fourth recognition in a short time for the series’ first season, which was released in August 2024.
The series has previously been nominated in the Best Original Content category at the SportsPro Media Awards gala and received a “Highly Commended” mention in the documentary series category at The Race Media Awards. In addition, its third episode, Legacy, was nominated for Best Documentary Episode at the International Motor Film Awards gala.
The Broadcast Sport Awards gala is now being held for the fifth time. It has quickly become one of the most respected events in the sports media industry. This year’s gala will take place in London on 13 November.
The second season of More than Machine will be released in the coming weeks. The new season will follow not only M-Sport but also the activities of the two other WRC manufacturers – Toyota and Hyundai – throughout the championship season.
