Creighton will be jumping into the co-driver’s seat in the legendary Donegal Rally, while his usual co-driver, Liam Regan, will take on the driving duties. The duo will participate in the historic class of the Donegal Rally with a Skoda Estelle 130L.

The Donegal Rally starts on Friday and ends on Sunday, but Regan and Creighton will only compete in their class for two days. The so-called “brilliant idea” was conceived in May when the duo was on their way back from Rally Portugal.

“This is my first time reading [pace] notes,” Creighton sighs on the WRC website.

“It is something I’ve wanted to do for a while, so when Liam said he needed a co-driver it sounded like the right opportunity. A two-hour flight to a World Rally Championship event and we had the whole thing planned,” the Irish driver continues.

The Donegal Rally is one of Ireland’s rally classics. The duo will surely have fun during their upcoming adventure.

“Donegal is an iconic rally with an amazing atmosphere, so I’m delighted to be a part of it and have a fun weekend with Liam and his team,” Creighton beams.

Creighton’s own season in the WRC has been challenging. The Irishman has retired in the WRC2 class in Croatia, Portugal, and Sardinia. In Sweden, Creighton finished but only managed 14th place in his class.

The Irish driver is the defending champion of the WRC Junior category. This season, he has been testing his skills with Ford in the WRC2 class, but as mentioned, with limited success.
