Last year, the man competed in both rally and circuit racing and also found time to become a shareholder in RTE-Motorsport, a motorsport specialty shop based in Varkaus, Finland. This season, Rovanperä is once again a full-time rally driver but has already announced that he will also compete in a 24-hour circuit race in Dubai next week.

And that’s not all. On Epiphany, Rovanperä announced that he would also become a team manager. He has founded an enduro team bearing his own name, with Roni Kytönen selected as the team’s rider.

“I’m thrilled to announce my new KR69 World Enduro Team for the 2025 World Championship! We will be racing in World Championship with Roni Kytönen as our driver. This is a new kind of challenge for me as the team boss, but I’m ready to support Roni for the best results possible. I’m really excited and can’t wait for the season to kick off,” Rovanperä wrote.

Rovanperä is unlikely to have much time to attend the Enduro World Championship events in person due to his own busy schedule, but he will surely support Kytönen as much as he can. The driver from Jämsä, Kytönen, competes in Rovanperä’s team with Husqvarna equipment.

Last year, Kytönen finished seventh in the E1 class of the Enduro World Championship. The upcoming season kicks off in Fafe, Portugal, from 4–6 April.

Rovanperä, on the other hand, will begin his World Rally Championship season from 23–26 January at the traditional Monte Carlo Rally. This year, Rovanperä will compete in a full WRC season, aiming for the third world championship title of his career.
