The WRC points will be contested in Greece’s slow-paced gravel event in just over two weeks. This week, WRC teams are conducting their pre-event tests for the challenging Acropolis Rally.

M-Sport Ford and Hyundai started their testing sessions on Monday. During the test run of Adrien Fourmaux, who has delivered excellent results this season, a new solution was spotted on the M-Sport Ford Puma Rally1 car.

WRCWings, a site specialising in rally car aerodynamics, observed that the Ford Puma was equipped with newly designed side air intakes during the test day.

Fourmaux has been in excellent form this season, securing four podium finishes. He currently sits fifth in the WRC standings.

Hyundai also began its testing at the same time. It is unclear which of Hyundai’s drivers was behind the wheel on Monday. The team’s lineup for the Acropolis Rally will consist of championship leader Thierry Neuville, Estonian star Ott Tänak, and Spanish veteran Dani Sordo.

Toyota’s WRC team is also scheduled to conduct its tests later this week.

The Acropolis Rally will take place from 5th to 8th September.
