In August, the 22-year-old Pajari competed for the first time in the top category of the WRC at Rally Finland. The young driver from Lahti had an impressive debut, finishing fourth in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 car.
Pajari has a lot at stake in the remaining rallies of the season. Next, he will once again drive Toyota’s Rally1 car in the Chile and Central European WRC rounds. Additionally, he still has one rally left to compete in within the WRC2 category.

Pajari still has a chance to claim the WRC2 title. However, the battle for the championship could be decided as early as next week in Chile, where Oliver Solberg has the opportunity to secure the title.
If Solberg wins his final points-scoring event of the season in Chile, the championship will be his. If he doesn’t win, Pajari will have a chance to claim the title at the season finale in Japan.
In Chile, Pajari’s main focus will be on his own Rally1 race, but he’ll be keeping an eye on Solberg’s performance in the WRC2 category.
“WRC2 hasn’t been completely forgotten. We’ve got one race left, and of course, we’ll have to give it our best. But the championship is somewhat in Oliver’s hands right now. He won’t have an easy time in Chile, though,” Pajari assesses.
In Chile, Solberg will face competition from the likes of Yohan Rossel, who also has a theoretical chance at the WRC2 title. Other well-known names on the starting line include Nikolay Gryazin, Jan Solans, Gus Greensmith, Pierre-Louis Loubet, and local star Alberto Heller.
“We’ll see how things turn out. But we’ll definitely do our best in our final race and try to achieve the best result possible,” Pajari reflects.
The Rally Chile will take place from September 26th to 29th.
