The WRC Promoter has aimed to reveal the next year’s calendar well in advance in the past but has not succeeded. This year’s calendar was officially announced in October, while the 2023 schedule was disclosed in November 2022.

Information about the 2025 calendar is expected to come out this summer.

“We’re aiming for the middle of the year. I would say late June, around then,” said Simon Larkin, the WRC Promoter’s Event Director, to DirtFish.

“We have a lot of excitement and a huge amount of anticipation, so we want to get that word out.”

The World Rally Championship will definitely add a new event as it was confirmed in March that the Canary Islands will host a WRC round next year. The lineup might include other new events too, as Paraguay, Saudi Arabia, and Ireland are eyeing a spot in the championship.

“It’s work in progress. But one thing I can tell you, our idea is to have two rallies in South America. Which one it will be (Chile is already included), time will tell,” said Peter Thul, WRC Promoter’s Sports Director, to RallyJournal.com.

“Saudi Arabia is a long term project. We’re also quite optimistic that will come soon. We are also thinking about the new tarmac possibilities. At the moment it’s all a work in progress, but I hope in some weeks time we know more.”

The Promoter aims to expand the calendar to 14 rounds. This year, the series features 13 rallies.

The next round of the WRC will take place this coming weekend in Kenya.
