The British team revealed on Friday that the driver duo for 2024 will consist of Frenchman Adrien Fourmaux and Luxembourg’s Gregoire Munster. Both drivers aim to compete in the premier class for a full season next year with the Puma Rally1 car.

After a challenging 2022, Fourmaux was demoted from M-Sport Ford’s team to the WRC2 category. This season, the Frenchman consistently showcased his speed alongside co-driver Alexandre Coria in the Fiesta Rally2 car. The duo notably won the WRC2 class in Central European Rally held on tarmac. However, they finished eighth in the WRC2 overall standings.

In addition to the WRC, Fourmaux also competed in the British rally series this past season, which he dominantly won.

“2024 will see us take a new and different approach compared to the last 12 months. Developing and helping young talent prove themselves is an exciting way to tackle a WRC season, and with several of the top drivers not competing across the full championship we have opportunities to put in some strong and surprising performances,” says team principal Richard Millener.

This year, Ott Tänak shone as M-Sport’s leading star, but the Estonian has returned to Hyundai’s team. Although the British team’s driver lineup is less experienced, Millener believes good results are achievable. The WRC is currently in a unique situation, with defending champion Kalle Rovanperä only racing half the season.

“We still have all the ingredients to deliver results and the team is motivated to start again in a few weeks’ time with an almost blank paper on what we can achieve,” Millener summarizes.

24-year-old Munster only began his career behind the wheel of a Rally1 car this year when he got to compete in three WRC rallies with businessman Jourdan Serderidis’s car. His best result in the Puma was a seventh place in Central Europe.

“Adrien, Alex, Gregoire and Louis (Louka) are all great guys who possess a lot of determination and motivation. A young team can create great energy and great things can come from that,” Millener reflects.

“I cannot wait to start working with them all again to show what we know we can achieve.”

The 2024 World Rally Championship season kicks off with the iconic Monte Carlo rally at the end of January.
