The Japanese team is preparing for the opening round of the 2024 season, which will be held from January 25-28. This year’s legendary Rally Monte Carlo will once again include winter conditions, as the service park has been moved back to the foothills of the Alps in the city of Gap.

Toyota had the opportunity to test its GR Yaris Rally1 car in varying conditions. Preparation for the season has been challenging for Evans, as he injured his ribs in a mountain biking accident in December. However, the Welshman is fully ready for action.

“The mood is improving all the time. Of course, the preparation for the season wasn’t optimal, but the worst is behind us. I feel good in the car,” Evans said after his tests.

“I’m now ready to close the discussion on this matter,” continued the Toyota driver, referring to his injury.
