The rally organizers have released the entry list for the competition, which starts on Friday. The list includes drivers looking to gain momentum in Italy for the upcoming Croatia Rally.

Local tarmac specialists will face competition from the likes of Frenchman Nicolas Ciamin, who will enter the event with a Hyundai i20 N Rally2 car.

Ciamin competes in the WRC2 class of the World Rally Championship this season, where he currently ranks fourth. He finished fourth in the season-opening Rally Monte Carlo and achieved the same result in the Safari Rally in Kenya.

The race, held in the surroundings of Alba, will also see the more experienced French driver Stephane Lefebvre, driving a Citroen C3 Rally2 car. Lefebvre has not competed regularly in the WRC in recent years but tested his speed at the season opener in Monte Carlo with Toyota’s new Rally2 car.

Paraguay’s rally hope, Diego Dominguez, is tuning up in Italy before the Croatia Rally. Dominguez will be driving a Ford Fiesta Rally3 car.

The tarmac stages of the Piedmont region will also showcase a Rally1 classification competitor, as Andreas Mikkelsen takes on the challenge with Hyundai’s top-tier equipment. Mikkelsen is gathering important test kilometers in competition conditions before the Croatian WRC round.

The Rally Regione Piemonte will also feature two Finnish drivers, Roope Korhonen and Benjamin Korhola. Korhonen clinched the WRC3 class championship last season, while Korhola is making his way into international rallying circles.

The opening day of the Rally Regione Piemonte on Friday includes three special stages. Seven more special stages are scheduled for Saturday.
