Rossel, a top contender in the WRC2 category, will participate in the Ultimate Cup Series with the French team Cogemo Racing. He will be driving the Nova Proto NP02, powered by a five-litre Ford V8 engine delivering 400 horsepower.

The series, dedicated to prototype cars, features endurance races. This year’s calendar includes six rounds, with three taking place in France. The series also makes stops in Germany, Portugal, and Italy.

Rossel will get to race on iconic tracks, including Hockenheimring in Germany, Mugello in Italy, and both Paul Ricard and Magny-Cours in France. The season kicks off next weekend.

Before his rallying career, Rossel competed in karting.

“Driving a prototype car in competition has always been a dream and I’m very excited to roar this Nova Proto NP02,” Rossel enthuses.

Rossel will share the team with two other French drivers, Antoine Lacoste and Jesse Bouhet.

Last year, Rossel finished third in the WRC2 class of the World Rally Championship. The Citroen driver had a perfect start to this season, claiming class victory at Rally Monte-Carlo.

Rossel is currently tied for the lead in the WRC2 category with Oliver Solberg.
