Rossel claimed an important class victory at Rally Chile and fought for the class championship almost until the very end.

In the Central European Rally, Rossel pushed hard, even taking significant risks in his pursuit of the class victory, but his aggressive approach backfired. He went off the road, ultimately losing his shot at the class championship.

Throughout the autumn, Rossel has emerged as a hot name in the driver market. At just 29 years old, the Frenchman could potentially have many years left in his career and much to contribute.

Rossel has made it clear that his goal is to compete in the top level of the World Rally Championship.

“For a long time, the plan has been to move up to Rally1. We have the same target, and we are working to be there in Rally1. It may be too much for someone else, but for me, it’s like that. I want to prove I am ready for Rally1,” Rossel stated earlier in October.

During the Central European Rally, Rossel once again faced questions about his future.

“No, no news. The plan is to be focussed on the race (CER),” Rossel said.

However, Rossel is aware that he has put on a solid performance in the WRC2 class this season, which could open the door to the top category. It’s clear that he’s on the radar of the major WRC teams.

“I think when you are fast in Rally2, you can discuss. The plan is to play with the top guys. And for sure, it’s in Rally1,” Rossel admitted.
