Hyundai confirmed that Adrien Fourmaux will join their ranks and compete in all WRC events with the Hyundai Rally1 car in the 2025 season. Until now, Fourmaux had represented M-Sport, where he achieved five podium finishes with the Ford Puma during the past season.

Hyundai team principal Cyril Abiteboul has strong confidence in the Frenchman’s ability to deliver a solid season with the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 car.

“For the renewed challenges of next year, consistency and stability across all three cars will be crucial.”

“We’re therefore delighted to confirm Adrien and Alexandre as part of our team after their incredible 2024 season. Adrien has impressed not only with the results he has achieved this season, but with his renewed mindset and attitude he has brought to his return to Rally1,” Abiteboul praised.

Hyundai now has three confirmed drivers for next season. Alongside Fourmaux, reigning world champion Thierry Neuville and Estonian star Ott Tänak will remain with the team.

“We believe our line-up of Thierry, Ott and Adrien will be a formidable force on the world’s stages in 2025,” Abiteboul declared confidently.

This year, Hyundai made history by securing its first-ever drivers’ championship. The team came close to claiming the manufacturers’ title as well, but Tänak’s retirement on the final day of the season in Japan handed the title to Toyota.

Hyundai is also considering fielding a fourth Rally1 car in next year’s WRC. This season, Esapekka Lappi, Dani Sordo, and Andreas Mikkelsen shared driving duties in the team’s third car, and all three are candidates for a potential fourth car in 2025.

“Our shared third car approach in 2024 allowed us to deliver one of the team’s strongest years in WRC and I would like to sincerely thank Esapekka, Dani and Andreas for their massive contribution to it,” Abiteboul concluded.
