Rovanperä’s season ended almost a month ago, but the young champion has hardly had time for holiday. He has attended numerous events, but soon he will be able to settle down for Christmas.

On Thursday, Rovanperä returned to his office at Toyota’s test area, where the champion team is preparing for the upcoming season.

“It’s really nice to be back in snowy conditions. Unfortunately, the road hasn’t been able to freeze much with these weathers, so the conditions are not quite optimal. But it’s nice to get back in the car,” Rovanperä enthused to RallyJournal.com.

In mid-November, Rovanperä announced that he would only participate in some of the WRC rallies next season. The Finnish star will skip the season-opening Rally Monte Carlo, but based on Thursday’s test, it would be logical for him to compete in the Rally Sweden in February.

However, Rovanperä remains mysterious when asked about it.

“I won’t comment on that yet, but it’s very possible,” Rovanperä smiled.

Rovanperä’s busy schedule continues right after the test day, as a public celebration in honor of his and co-driver Jonne Halttunen‘s championships will be organized in Jyväskylä Finland on Thursday evening.
