The final weekend of the circuit series is taking place in Zolder, Belgium, where rally star Rovanperä is aiming for more success. In Saturday’s qualifying session, Rovanperä found good pace and secured front-row starts for both of the weekend’s races.

At the end of qualifying, Rovanperä was initially placed second on the timesheets. However, the Finnish driver was promoted to first when Domas Raudonis had his fastest lap disqualified for exceeding track limits.

Rovanperä ultimately topped the session, beating Paul Meijer by 0.168 seconds.

“The fastest guy had his fastest lap deleted due to track limits, so we got P1 for the first race,” Rovanperä shared in his Instagram story.

The first race of the weekend takes place on Saturday afternoon. The starting grid for Sunday’s race was determined by each driver’s second-fastest lap in qualifying, where Rovanperä secured second place behind Sacha Norden.

“Not happy with my performance in qualifying, but still front row for both races,” Rovanperä commented.

This season, Rovanperä has already claimed two race victories in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux series. Just a week ago, he also tested his pace in the Italian Porsche Cup, securing sixth and eighth place finishes over the weekend.
