New livery for Toyota’s Rally1 cars revealed for summer gravel events

Toyota, competing in the World Rally Championship, is changing the livery of its cars for the summer’s gravel rallies.

The team made a surprise announcement on Monday: the Rally1 car’s colours will switch to silver mid-season.

Toyota has been competing with a predominantly black livery since the start of the 2024 season. However, for the Rally de Portugal in May, the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 will debut its new silver design.

Toyota has been in superb form this season. At the weekend, the team achieved an incredible 1-2-3-4 finish at the asphalt-based Rally Islas Canarias.

Kalle Rovanperä was in a class of his own on Gran Canaria, beating second-placed Sébastien Ogier by almost a full minute. Elfyn Evans finished third, with Takamoto Katsuta taking fourth place.

The Rally de Portugal will be held from 15–18 May.
