The team secured its 300th consecutive manufacturer points finish in the WRC. This accomplishment is believed to be unprecedented in any motorsport series. The milestone was reached when Gregoire Munster finished fifth. Even Adrien Fourmaux, who had to retire once, contributed points for the team.

The points streak began 22 years ago when Carlos Sainz and Colin McRae finished third and fourth in the 2002 Rally Monte Carlo, driving a Ford Focus WRC. Since then, the team has scored points in every rally, meaning no Ford has ever been left permanently on the sidelines in any race. The 100th points finish was achieved in the 2008 Rally Turkey, and the 200th in Mexico in 2016.

This achievement spans six continents and 29 countries. The team has driven a total of 84,365 kilometres in these 300 points finishes. In making history, 29 drivers and 38 co-drivers have been involved.

Since 2002, M-Sport Ford has won three manufacturers’ championships. Among the drivers, only Sebastien Ogier has celebrated a world title, which he did in 2017-18.

“Reaching 300 consecutive scoring events is a testament to our team’s unwavering dedication and commitment. Their relentless effort, combined with the support of Ford Motor Company, truly embodies the spirit of performance and reliability that drives us to excel in the World Rally Championship,” says M-Sport boss Malcolm Wilson.

“I would like to thank every single member of staff, driver, co-driver and fan that has been with us along the entire, or parts of the journey. This simply wouldn’t be possible without any of you and I am tremendously proud of what we have achieved. I now look towards trying to achieve 350!”
