The third round of the 2024 season will be raced in the surroundings of Naivasha. For the past three years, the race was held in June, but now it is scheduled for the 28th to 31st of March. The event could prove even more gruelling this year, as March is typically quite rainy in Kenya.

A total of 29 driver pairs will compete in Kenya, with nine Rally1 cars in the lineup. Elfyn Evans, Takamoto Katsuta, and Kalle Rovanperä will enter the classic race in Toyota’s Rally1 cars.

Hyundai’s Ott Tänak and Thierry Neuville will be joined in Kenya by Esapekka Lappi, who won the previous round in Sweden. M-Sport Ford will also have three cars at the start line, with regular drivers Adrien Fourmaux and Gregoire Munster complemented by Jourdan Serderidis embarking on the Kenyan adventure.

In the WRC2 class, British driver Gus Greensmith will kick off his season in Kenya. Greensmith will compete for class victory against Oliver Solberg, Nicolas Ciamin, and Kajetan Kajetanowicz, among others.

Kenya will host a total of 19 special stages, covering a distance of 355.92 kilometres. The rally begins with the Loldia shakedown on Wednesday, 27th March.

The actual race starts on Thursday with the Kasarani super special stage near the capital, Nairobi.
