Pajari remains in sixth place after 11 special stages in the competition.

The Finn hasn’t made any major mistakes, despite the challenging conditions that could have led to them – and many others did.

“It wasn’t easy today either,” Pajari summarised his Saturday morning loop.

“This was perhaps even more challenging than we expected. But it went quite okay,” Pajari added.

Friday was anticipated to be the toughest day of Central European Rally, as the stages were held in the Czech Republic. Saturday was expected to be somewhat easier.

“Yes, yesterday was still a more challenging day. Based on the number of mistakes, one could think that today was harder. Perhaps the pace was a bit higher today, but otherwise, it shouldn’t have been so bad. Of course, even in good weather, you can still end up off the road,” Pajari reminded.

Indeed, mistakes and off-road incidents occurred. Championship contender Thierry Neuville went off the road and dropped from the lead to fourth place. Toyota’s Takamoto Katsuta also went off into the grass during the morning, but Pajari didn’t.

“Of course, it’s always positive when the car is still in one piece,” Pajari laughed.

In terms of results, the Finn currently finds himself in “no man’s land.” He doesn’t have much of a chance to move up the leaderboard, but without significant errors, he isn’t at risk of dropping down either. However, this doesn’t change much for the Finn.

“I wasn’t paying any attention at any point to the results, so it’s not changing that much. I’m not even sure what is our position right now, so clearly not paying any attention to that,” Pajari laughed.
