Ogier is competing in the Rally Latvia this coming weekend, where he aims to bring important points to Toyota in the manufacturers’ championship battle. Before heading to Latvia, the French star made a stop in Central Finland at Toyota’s test area.

Ogier arrived in style, landing by helicopter with his co-driver Vincent Landais at the test service area. Then it was straight into action with the Toyota Rally1 car.

Ogier was fine-tuning the settings for the fast gravel stages of the Latvian rally. The gravel roads got a thorough workout as Ogier sped through the forest with the rally car.

The eight-time world champion had to skip the previous rally due to a head-on collision during the recce for Rally Poland. Ogier spent one night in a local hospital with a minor neck injury, but he has now recovered and is ready to race.

After Sunday’s test, Ogier and Landais headed directly to Latvia, which is hosting a WRC round for the first time in its history. The recce for the event started on Monday.

The first special stage of the Rally Latvia is scheduled for Thursday.
