Ogier’s participation in Rally Latvia was momentarily in jeopardy due to an accident in Rally Poland.
Ogier had a head-on collision with a car during the recce for Rally Poland and was unable to participate in the competition.
However, the French champion now assures that he is in perfect condition.
“That is the reason why I am here now. It is clear that I wouldn’t have come here otherwise if I wasn’t fully recovered,” Ogier confirmed.
“It wouldn’t have made any sense to take any foolish risk if I was still suffering from any issue. I feel good now and I am ready,” Ogier continued.
Rally Latvia is practically a new competition for everyone. It is a welcome challenge for Ogier.
“I have always liked this. This is what rallying is about. You make the recce notes and try to learn as much as possible through videos. I really like this situation a lot,” Ogier said.
“This is a really fast rally, so confidence will play a big role in being competitive,” Ogier continued.
Ogier has so far had a very strong season as a part-time driver. A good result is of course on his mind now as well.
“Hopefully, we will find a good rhythm right away and naturally the goal is to be as high up as possible,” Ogier outlined.
