The route planning didn’t go off without a hitch, as right after a harsh jump, there was a tree right beside the road. Fortunately, it seems no serious accidents occurred, but quite the video footage has spread on social media from that spot.
In addition to the danger of the route, the placement of the audience also leaves room for improvement.

Agustin Alonso took the victory at the Trans Itapuá rally with his VW Polo R5. The second place went to Augusto Bestard, driving a Skoda Fabia Rally2 evo, who finished 14.4 seconds behind the winner. Nicolas Tomboly, commanding an older Skoda, clinched third place.
Fabrizio Zaldivar, known from the World Rally Championship, had to retire. Zaldivar was leading for the first six special stages, but then the challenge intensified. Eventually, Zaldivar had to retire due to a technical failure on the third-last special stage of the race.
Paraguay is strongly holding a spot in next season’s World Rally Championship. The promoter of the WRC has already discussed this with the country’s president, Santiago Peña. Rumors have suggested a three-year deal for Paraguay.
