The team scored an incredible haul at the season-opening Rally Monte-Carlo, with Sebastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans securing a 1-2 finish in the challenging event.

Toyota also claimed maximum points on Super Sunday, with Evans and Kalle Rovanperä topping the day’s results. In the Power Stage, Ogier and Evans delivered further success, taking the highest points available.

As a result, Toyota amassed an impressive 60 points in the manufacturers’ championship.

“You can’t ask for more when the team gets maximum points. The key was succeeding with our tyre choices this morning. The final result is outstanding,” team principal Jari-Matti Latvala celebrated.

Hyundai, on the other hand, had to settle for 36 points in Monte-Carlo. The team’s top performer was Adrien Fourmaux, who finished third in his debut WRC outing with the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 car.

Among Hyundai’s other drivers, Ott Tänak finished fifth, while reigning champion Thierry Neuville came in sixth.

In the drivers’ championship, Ogier leads with a commanding 33 points. However, since Ogier is not competing in the full season, Evans will open the roads at the next round, Rally Sweden. The Welshman collected 26 points from the season opener. Fourmaux and Rovanperä, who finished fourth in Monte-Carlo, follow him in the standings.
