This season, French driver Adrien Fourmaux and Luxembourg’s Gregoire Munster have been competing in M-Sport’s Ford Puma Rally1 cars in the WRC. Fourmaux has achieved impressive results, while Munster is still gaining experience in the top class.
Rumours have linked Fourmaux to the role of Hyundai’s third driver. However, M-Sport bosses Malcolm Wilson and Richard Millener have both expressed their desire to keep the French driver on their team.
Millener gave nothing away when RallyJournal.com asked him about M-Sport’s drivers for next year.
“No idea. I might have a go. It’s up in the air,” Millener smiled.
Fourmaux himself has stated that he already knows where he’ll be driving next year. According to him, it will be a full season with Rally1 machinery. However, he hasn’t revealed whether it’s with M-Sport or Hyundai, as contract details are still being finalised.
Given this, M-Sport boss Millener would presumably also know who Fourmaux’s employer will be in 2025.
“I know everything,” Millener laughed.
“No, there’s nothing signed anywhere. That’s all I can tell you. So let’s see,” he added mysteriously.
The final round of the 2024 WRC season will be held in Japan from 21-24 November.
