Both brothers will contest a full seven-round campaign in the second tier of the World Rally Championship. Marco, 24, and his younger brother Bruno, 22, will each compete in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2.
Their WRC season begins in May at Rally Portugal. From there, their schedule continues with back-to-back events in Sardinia, Greece, Estonia, Finland, Paraguay and Chile.
Neither of the Bulacia brothers has previously competed in a Toyota Rally2 car. Now, however, they have chosen to place their trust in the Finnish-developed machine, which has already proven to be highly competitive in the fiercely contested WRC2 field.
As Marco Bulacia put it in his social media post: “Along with my brother Bruno, we’re returning to the FIA WRC2 with two Toyota GR Yaris Rally2s, in an exciting programme that will take us competing in Europe and South America.”
Marco Bulacia made his WRC2 debut back in 2019. He has secured three second-place finishes in the category, most recently at the Acropolis Rally in Greece in 2021.
Last season, Marco’s WRC campaign was limited. He started the year driving a Citroën at Rally Portugal, but was forced to retire. He switched to a Škoda Rally2 for Rally Sardinia, but again had to retire. He did not take part in any further WRC events after that.
Bruno Bulacia, 22, competed last season in the Junior WRC with a Ford Rally3, though he has prior WRC2 experience as well. In 2022, he achieved a best result of ninth place in the WRC2 class at Rally Sweden.
The next round of the World Rally Championship takes place next week in the Canary Islands.
